Why this is fair

The salt is announced before the entry window closes, but the close time does not exist as a value until the window actually closes. Neither half of the seed can be known on its own in advance, and the seed only exists once both are fixed. That means nobody, including the operator, can precompute who wins. Anyone holding the entrant list, the salt, and the close time can rerun this exact page and reach the same winners.
